Writing about homosexual/lesbian issues doesn’t cause any major problems. Homosexuality has invaded the Church, and like divorce and remarriage decades before, because of the state of the Church it will eventually become as acceptable and normal as that of divorce and remarriage. However, mention divorce and remarriage in the realm of the Church and your head will be firmly on the block. Yet this is a greater, more entrenched situation. It isn’t just Islam that has created no-go areas; suggesting remarriage is a sin (except in the case of the death of a spouse) is taboo, a no-go area in the realm of Christianity. The Church’s own version of PC immediately kicks in – The fear of division says, it is better to keep the unity and allow those in the Church that have divorced and remarried to go to Hell, than to speak the truth in love. This is not what Ephesians 4:3 is all about – “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
Appeasement didn’t work when the British government abandoned the Balfour Declaration, and when breaking their many promises to the Jews – a situation that will return to haunt us, as we shall see at the end of this article. Appeasement will not work in the Church. Respectability is not mentioned among the spiritual gifts or the fruits of the Spirit. We can be respectable, loving, kind people, teach from the Bible, but be living in sin; sin as defined by Jesus. We might worship with a look of ecstasy on our faces, and jump and leap about with joy, but it is the stench of sin that is rising to Heaven. Because religious PC means there are certain subjects that are unmentionable, neither must those same subjects be correctly taught from Scripture, because it might cause division. Therefore, sin abounds and grace is bound by unbelief. Sin, unbelief, and unrighteousness is entrenched in the Church. Its terrible to write like this; not at all PC. Whatever “unity” we have in the Church congregation, if it is built on sin and deception, we will not have unity with Heaven. It is a false peace; and a time to mourn before the Lord. (Ecclesiastes 3:4).
It is this attitude and teaching that is leading to the developing situation in the West, of Christians being individually as well as corporately sifted by Satan, and persecuted by man. We are not following the Lord wholeheartedly. Our digression from Scripture means that we believe it is more loving to hide sin than to confront it. I am not talking about the wrath of God being poured out. I am suggesting it is the love of God for His people. He will not allow us to wallow in sin and sentimentality. I am not a prophet, it is simply the way I see it. The Body is not glorifying the Head.
In a recent article, “Worlds Apart” (a shortened version of one I produced a while ago) I asked the questions – “What of the House of Windsor – will it survive and continue after the Queen’s demise, or will it become a desolation? Will King and country bow to the Dar al-Islam (House of Islam)?” There is little to stop Islam striking at the heart of the nation. You have an apostate church on the one hand, and humanism on the other. The UN has a sympathiser in the royal family, and there is an admirer of Islam in the royal family. We are all aware of the UN’s record of resolutions against “apartheid” Israel, and support for the Palestinians and Islam.
Although Prince William has returned from his Israel visit with a resolution of his own, Jerusalem will remain a cup of trembling. The Prince’s presumption is groundless and not built on God’s Word – “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. Judah will be besieged, as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.…” (Zechariah 12:2-3). No-one will bring peace to Israel but One. Just as there was no-one worthy to open the scroll (Revelation 5:3-5) but for “the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David”. It is Jesus alone that will bring peace. Man’s solutions are not Heaven’s answer.
It is Jesus that will open the scroll (Revelation 5:3-5). It is Jesus, the Prince of Peace, that will bring peace to Jerusalem. It is Jesus that will cleanse His Church; a Church that almost wholly rejects Israel and scorns the Jews. As I see it, it will be Islam, in the first instance, that will be the instrument of cleansing. The Church has failed to discipline itself. Those that have suffered church splits and division can be scarred by them. They perhaps obey the pain and memory of them rather than the voice of the Lord. In effect, they are ruled by fear while lacking in true faith. Seeing division where there isn’t any they go on to create division. In some situations it appears that their strategy is to muzzle the ox rather than to deal with sin in the camp, in order to maintain unity. Others welcome sin as a friend or lover; others in leadership are lovers of money rather than lovers of God. Most reading this will be well aware of the state of the Church as well as the state of the nation. Sin has taken up residence in the Temple of the Lord. The World has witnessed the destruction of Two Temples, both made of stone. Now there is to be a sifting of the one made without hands. It is uncomfortable writing this. It will be even more uncomfortable to live through it. A number of believers over the years have seen this coming, while others are oblivious to it. Even the secular press was concerned at one time. In 2003 an article in a British newspaper warned about a growing fear that the U.K. was on a fast track to becoming an Islamic nation. An article in The Guardian in 2017 stated that a study suggests that Islam is set to become the world's largest religion by 2075. The situation in the UK has progressed since 2003. It is not simply the growing number of Muslims in the nation, it is the strategy that is in place. Opposition to our becoming a Muslim nation is muzzled. Raise the alarm and you are labelled with the Islamophobia tag –intolerant Islam makes sure of that.
An article in The Times on 6th June 2018 said, “Tory Muslim chief accuses party of failing to tackle Islamophobia”. Mohammed Amin, chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum, claimed that the party was hoping that the issue would ‘magically go away’ so that it could avoid a bruising inquiry into anti-Muslim prejudice.” I don’t think there is any chance of that happening! The drive is on for a new blasphemy law; one that will probably destroy what remains of free speech. As was pointed out elsewhere, after Muslims stabbed and beheaded British Army soldier Lee Rigby in London on the afternoon of the 22nd May 2013, it was Muslim institutions alone that needed protection – That was the political mentality and mind-set of our Government. Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ openly in Britain’s towns and villages is practically outlawed, but any opposition to Islam is clamped down. In conversation with a God-hater (not Muslim) a couple of months ago, he said to me, punctuated with a load of invectives, that he looked forward to our religion coming to an end. He appeared to have an understanding of what is heading our way. Sharia courts are operating in various parts of the country. Perhaps Christians will be dragged before them. This will be in the name of ‘unity’. Our nation will be united under the god of PC. Those that don’t fit into the black box will suffer the consequences.
The Lord’s anger
“So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel” (Joshua 7:1). Why should God blame the whole nation – “Israel has sinned” (Joshua 7:11-12) – for the sin of a single man? Notice that though only one person stole the “devoted things”, the whole nation was guilty of the sin until it was dealt with, no matter that no one knew – “They have taken some of the devoted things, they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.” A sin had occurred causing a division in the relationship of the Lord with Israel. Israel had sinned, they had violated the Lord’s covenant. The Lord brought the sin to the attention of Joshua. Unlike today’s leaders, Joshua obeyed the Lord. Had he not, God warned, “I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to be destroyed” (Joshua 7:12; see also Joshua 6:17-19; Acts 5:1-2; Deuteronomy 29:27). Churches and ministries that have been blessed by the Lord can come under His discipline even to becoming bereft of His presence when they deviate from His path. We might choose to forget sin, but God doesn’t unless we deal with it as He has told us to. When we do that, He will remember our sins no more. (Hebrews 8:12). Jesus alone brings salvation to the world (Acts 4:12). Foolish though we are, God has given His Son. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
Projections a few years ago suggested Islam would be in the ascendancy within twenty years. If that still holds true, we don’t have many years to go. I don’t know what time we do have left, but the prime target when the crunch does come will be the Sunday people – Christians. It is already extremely uncomfortable for the “Saturday people” – Jews living in this land. It seems likely that most, if not all of them will have left Britain for a safer haven before we reach boiling point. Hopefully that will be the case so that they will escape the wrath of the god of hatred and violence that is pervading this land and its people. Humanism is like the poor man’s Red Sea. Humanism has opened up the path for Islam to cross over and occupy. My focus has been on the Church under Islam, but this will only happen when the nation itself is bound by the spirit of Islam. Will the nation flourish under this foreign god? If we study the history of Islamic nations, it doesn’t look promising. Islam is a religion that considers some to be less human than others, even within Islam itself. That is a reason why it was so compatible with Hitler and Nazism. By abandoning the Balfour Declaration Britain was careless with God’s people, the Jews. Britain also went on to abandon Israel to the armies of Islamic nations. Seventy years on from the creation of the modern State of Israel, God is leaving Britain in the care of Islam. (Numbers 32:38).
Blessings and shalom,
