In this modern world with all its technological advantages and rise in knowledge, children are at the greatest disadvantage. It was interesting in the June Referendum on the EU how politicians pitted the young against the elderly, using words to drive a wedge between the elderly (the grey vote) and our young people; turning the hearts of the children against the fathers. An accusing question came from various quarters asking why the elderly should be choosing the direction Britain takes when it will affect the young most of all. Evil minds make evil suggestions, applying pressure so that what was supposed to be a free vote became something else. There were all kinds of accusations – if you vote Brexit you are racist and so forth. I pray there will be a clean sweep of politicians in Britain and that men and women of integrity, honest and true will rise up to fill government positions. I doubt we have ever had a more ungodly, self-righteous gaggle of politicians and political advisers than we do today.
Our young are disadvantaged because even with all our technology and know-how, we place more value on possessions than we do on the sanctity of life. There is no fear of the Lord in the land and we take more care of our cars and computers than we do of our children. It has been said that the most dangerous place for a child to be is in its mother’s womb. From conception the most terrible death looms over the unborn. If the child does make it into this world without being cut to pieces in the womb or wiped out by a drug, it has other dangers lurking in the wings…at least it has in the planning in Scotland with their Named Person Scheme. Sword magazine’s ‘Westminster Watch’ has reported on developments concerning this scheme in recent issues. It involves the indoctrination of children by what I describe as Satanic means. It is Satan’s ‘Don’t stop the little children coming to me’, in fact it is, ‘force the little children to come to me!’ Under the Named Person Scheme, every child in Scotland is to be assigned a guardian from the state to monitor their wellbeing. In the past, Nazis and the Communists indoctrinated their children with government ideology. This is a way for Satan to extend his kingdom and influence in the hearts of humans. The reason for pointing this out is to encourage prayer for Scotland. The godless politicians in that country are leading the people down a rosy bordered garden path to destruction. Nicola Sturgeon is desperate for Scotland to be part of the EU, but appointing state monitors directly contravenes the European Convention on Human Rights. The political leaders in Scotland are politicians with their own agendas seeking their own glorification, with no regard for the teaching of Jesus who said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14; Luke 18:16). The Scottish government wanted six-hundred taxi drivers in the Borders to be spies, and to pass on information to their Named Person about their passengers. “Every single professional who comes into contact with children is being trained to be suspicious of parents. Rather than using their common sense, their professional judgment and their basic humanity to recognise problems they are being educated to be risk averse, to think ‘safety’, and danger, and to intervene in a family’s life based on minor issues” – Dr Stuart Walton, Senior Lecturer in Sociology, Abertay University Dundee. The Christian Institute reported – “This state guardian will be put in place regardless of whether or not children or parents wish to have one and regardless of whether there is any need for state intervention.
A named person will have the power to speak to a child, including about very personal issues, and provide information or advice – all potentially without parental consent.” The Christian Institute continued – “Scotland’s Deputy First Minister John Swinney has said he is ‘absolutely committed’ to the Named Person scheme despite a growing swell of opposition, including from former SNP leaders.”
Jesus said, “…but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:6; Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2). Jesus was referring to those that believe in Him, but political leaders in the UK are preventing children from believing in Him. Will those in authority escape God’s judgment any more than those that lead believing children astray?
A Modern Name for an old concept
Satan works through people. He used Herod to kill all the children in an effort to prevent Jesus, King of the Jews developing into adulthood. The Named Person Scheme is being put in place to prevent Jesus being birthed into the lives of the children. Instead, government is seeking to replace any influence Jesus and His teaching might have on an individual with its own agenda and ideal of what it is to be and what makes a person virtuous. We are going back to the ‘Enlightenment’ and a man named Claude Adrien Helvétius. He said that “No individual is born good or bad.” And, “There is nothing impossible to education.” According to Helvétius our character is shaped by upbringing and education, and that government laws are significant influences that shape human behaviour. He claimed that the “virtue and vices of men are always the effects of their different situations, and the different instructions they receive.” Perfect legislation, in his opinion, would produce perfect people. Good government would make people virtuous and happy. Nicola Sturgeon’s good government will make Scottish people virtuous and happy! Helvétius thought that laws could be created that “men will be forced to be virtuous.” He advocated removing children from their families thereby removing any harmful parental influences, ‘especially religious influences’. He said that “In general, that education is best where the child, most distant from his parents, has least opportunity of mixing incoherent ideas with those which he ought to acquire in the course of his studies. It is for this reason that a public education will always excel a private [one].” He thought that children, abandoned to their peers would correct defects in one another producing model citizens. Children should not return to their parents to be affected or contaminated again by the people of the world during holidays. Jesus taught His disciples that we are in the world but not of the world.
Helvétius was branded an enemy of human liberty by Isiah Berlin who said, “…in the kind of universe which Helvétius depicts there is little room for liberty…We have become like animals trained to seek only that which is useful to us.” Interestingly, that is an outstanding characteristic in Scotland’s political scene today, I would suggest.
Helvétius was not alone in these kinds of proposals and they have raised their very ugly, devilish heads again today. Another ‘enlightened’ individual was Robert Owen, a textile mill owner of the nineteenth century who became a leading British socialist. Owen rejected the Christian doctrine of original sin and human depravity. He said that humans are neither good nor evil, but “universally plastic.” (Not the “Made in Hong Kong” variety!) His claim was environmental. Those raised in good surroundings become good. Those subjected to evil circumstances become evil. His precept was (here we go again!) that if people would give up their superstitious religious belief that humans have free will, freedom to choose how they behave, we could rationally shape human behaviour, so everyone would be virtuous. Get rid of God and we will all be happy! Kick God out of Scotland and the Scots will be happy and virtuous. And if you believe that…..
LGBT School Diversity Week
If a child survives through the dangerous channel of time in the mother’s womb out into the world into childhood, there are more dangers to face; from government. Scotland’s Named Person Scheme will spread to the rest of the UK if parents don’t take control now.
Moving on from Scotland to the UK as a whole, our children are being indoctrinated in their schools. Appearing as an angel of light, on June 20th – 24th 2016, the LGBT School Diversity Week was officially launched in Parliament. No-one advocates bullying of any kind, but anti-bullying against homosexuals was the chosen vehicle and focus of the authorities for the thirty-eight thousand pupils across the United Kingdom from age seven to eighteen. They were required to take part in the first ever ‘School Diversity Week’ to combat ‘homophobic bullying’ in the classroom. Speaking at the event, founder and CEO of ‘Just Like Us’, Tim Ramsey, said: “School Diversity Week is an amazing chance for schools to unite their whole community in promoting positive views among young people about LGBT people.” Rather than simply combating bullying, is it really about the indoctrination of the gay/lesbian lifestyle? Are they promoting the gay and lesbian agenda to our children? Serious concerns have been raised that the initiative will be used by LGBT activists as a vehicle to affirm and promote same-sex lifestyles in schools. Our children, once again, are at risk of extremism – Homosexual and Lesbian extremism of a nature that David Cameron endorses and encourages, and legislated for. In his resignation speech he said he wants to be remembered for gay marriage. He said same-sex marriage was one of the “great steps” this country had made in recent years. He added that the country had made positive moves, including “enabling those who love each other to get married whatever their sexuality”. Among the Supporters of Diversity Week was the Education Secretary Nicky Morgan, Peter Tatchell and dozens of other MPs and celebrities. A special reception was hosted by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercrow, to mark the launch of the initiative on Tuesday 14 June. Many in Parliament are themselves homosexuals and lesbians. The most recent to proudly ‘come out’ was reported in The Sunday Times (26th June) – Justine Greening, the international development secretary, was warmly congratulated after announcing she was in a same-sex relationship.
As the annual Pride parade took place in London, the Conservative MP, tweeted: “Today’s a good day to say I’m in a happy same-sex relationship…”
David Cameron tweeted: “Congratulations Justine — that’s great news.” George Osborne tweeted: “Congrats Justine. Best news in last 48 hours!”
Greening, 47, becomes the 33rd openly gay, lesbian or bisexual MP in the House of Commons. Crispin Blunt, a fellow Tory MP who came out in 2010, tweeted: “Good on you. Huge hugs from Pride.”
The ‘School Diversity Week’ took place in the same month that a UN Committee claimed that requiring children to attend school assemblies, with collective acts of worship, undermines their human rights. This kind of indoctrination by politicians is world-wide and is a driving force in world organisations. If parents do not rise up against this kind of indoctrination they are handing their offspring over to the devil himself.
“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3). If God gives children, they are to be viewed as a gift – the inheritance or property – of the Lord. He has entrusted His inheritance to human parents for their proper care, both physical and spiritual. How great then is Britain’s sin? We might have come out of the EU, but without genuine repentance, we will not escape God’s wrath on this land.
The Bishops Move
Our children are not safe when even the church can no longer be considered a sanctuary from sin and evil. Two leading bishops from the evangelical wing of the Church of England are urging fellow clerics to be willing to rethink traditional ‘interpretations’ of the Bible which condemn homosexuality as a sin. The Bishop of Liverpool, said it was time for a ‘reconsideration’ of the centuries-old view of marriage and insisted his mind was ‘open not closed’ on how passages in the Bible talking about homosexuality should be read in the 21st century. On the same theme the Bishop of Dorchester said the church’s teaching on sexuality should not be treated as a core doctrine like the trinity, from which anyone who disagrees is a ‘heretic’. The Bible teaches that it is the Spirit who will lead us into all truth (John 16:13), not the century that we live in; and Scripture states: “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment” (John 16:8).
A congregation specifically for individuals who identify as LGBT will be launched this summer by the tolerant Church of England. Is the Anglican Church in danger of heaping judgment upon itself? The Church should be teaching the power of the Cross, not turning meeting places into (here’s an old-fashioned, un-PC concept) dens of iniquity! “For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17)
Blessings and shalom,
