Programme 367: Eric Benson

My guest today is Eric Benson, director of the House of Victory, a rehabilitation centre for addicts in northern Israel. He’s been there for many years and seen literally scores of men enter the house more dead than alive and leave well. I put it to him that he must be encouraged.

Programme 365: Daniel Yahav - 4 of 4

Many Christians, maybe you are one, have questions about Israel and the Bible that need answers. One of those questions is, The Christian world is divided in its understanding of Israel and the Jewish people – how important is it that there is a right alignment between Jewish believers in Israel and gentile believers in the world in these days, which many believe are the end times, in preparation for the 2ndcoming of Jesus?

Programme 364: Daniel Yahav 3 of 4

My guests on these programmes are believers in Jesus who live in Israel – Jewish, Arab and Palestinian people. The programmes are recorded in Israel where these people live today with all the pressures that go with living in the region. Some Christians however, maybe you are one, have questions that need answers. One of those questions is, In what ways were the Jews supposed to be a blessing to the nations. Were they supposed to be intercessors – if so what does that mean?

Programme 363: Daniel Yahav: 2 of 4

Daniel Yahav is a Messianic Jewish pastor in northern Israel. He has a deep understanding of the Bible so I asked him a question that is often heard in the UK, some Christians seem obsessed with Israel. So is the modern day state of Israel God’s chosen people? Is Israel still special or since the covenant has been broken and a new covenant established, has the church replaced Israel as God’s chosen people?

Programme 362: Daniel Yahav: 1 of 4

My guests on these programmes are believers in Jesus who live in Israel – Jewish, Arab and Palestinian people. The programmes are recorded in Israel where these people live today with all the pressures that go with living in the region. Some Christians however, maybe you are one, have questions that need answers. One of those questions is, In what ways were the Jews supposed to be a blessing to the nations. Were they supposed to be intercessors – if so what does that mean?

Programme 361: Nihad Salman

Today we’re in Bethlehem having lunch with Nihad Salman and his wife … Nihad is the pastor of an evangelical church there and it is important to understand that Christians in Bethlehem represent a tiny percentage of the population, the majority being Muslim. So you might think that they are afraid and discouraged. However, the reality is very different … here is a church sending out missionaries!

Programme 359: Eliel

Today we’re in Haifa in northern Israel talking to Eliel. He came to Israel from Uzbekistan along with his Jewish mother and two brothers when he was a teenager. But settling into Israeli life proved difficult for Eliel; he started mixing with bad company and became a drug addict. When his life had spiralled out of control, his mother heard about the House of Victory in Haifa – a rehabilitation house for addicts run by believers – and it was there Eliel’s addiction was broken and he came to faith in Jesus.
