Ep. 61: Busyness

LUKE 10:25,38-42

Are you a ‘Martha’ or a ‘Mary’? How often have you heard that question? At his feet or in the kitchen? Although Mary chose ‘what is better’ it doesn’t mean there was no value in Martha’s busyness. The tea won’t just make itself!

Although Mary did what Jesus said was ‘better’ we have to ensure that our emulation of Mary is not simply just an excuse not to do some hard grafting! If you are called to a life of devotion that is a wonderful calling but if there is anything less than sincerity there, then think again. Be who you are called to be, rather than following other’s expectations (or your own laziness).
