JOHN 4:43-54

How much faith was shown by that simple declaration from that Gentile official, the man took Jesus at his word and departed? Without having any sort of backstory or relevant personal experience, this man trusted that Jesus could heal his son without even meeting him.

Our faith often comes with conditions, added baggage as layers of protection against disappointment. Or do we pray in perfect faith, confident that we have been heard and that there will be an answer … if not now then perhaps later? Sometimes great patience is also needed as we live in a culture that deals in the ‘now’ and is not accustomed to waiting! The only assurance we need is that He listens and acts … appropriately.
