Ep. 64: Only two sides

JOHN 8:12-59

We all love a good argument, don’t we? But there are limits! Jesus was faced with so much moaning and negativity. They doubted his authority and his claims. One of the big issues was their holding onto their position as descendants of Abraham, saying that they belong to him. Instead, Jesus tells them that those who don’t believe in him, rather belong to the devil.

This is a hard teaching, especially in this day and age. Nobody want to be told they belong to the devil. Yet, it is black and white. There are only two sides and we have to decide where we all are. This is especially poignant now, when the ‘children of Abraham’ (i.e. Jews) are taking a real battering by those who are, in actuality, following the devil and his schemes. Everyone must examine themselves on this issue, even Christians!
