Ep. 21: Single minded

Jesus knew his mission. It is a shame others could not see beyond their personal needs. What they wanted was a miracle-worker-on-tap, without realising not only the strain that this had on his human body, but also – and more importantly – that he had to move on and continue with his divine mission elsewhere.

There’s a lesson for us here, particularly if you have only recently embarked on a God-given mission of your own. It won’t be, of course, as grand and awesome as what lay before Jesus, but it will be your little slice of the cake allocated to you. Don’t let others tempt you with larger slices, or a different cake. Be single minded and look ahead at what He has laid before you.
