MATTHEW 17:22-18:22, MARK 9:30-50, LUKE 9:43-50

Us grownups like to complicate things, don’t we? Look at the mess we have made of the world! Although I am not going to suggest giving the reins to the kids, there’s a lot we can learn from the children. They can’t teach us what we don’t know, but they can be a reminder of what the Kingdom is all about. Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me.

As we know, nothing has really changed in 2,000 years, the Bible is just as relevant today. Children are still a reminder to us that, rather than arguing among ourselves who is the most important in the kingdom, we turn our minds to the most vulnerable among us and realise that they are the most important of all.
