LUKE 14:25-35

It’s not easy being a disciple of Jesus. He tells us this himself, “anyone who does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.” This is when the %$%$£ hits the fan, when we realise that we are not just following a fancy philosophy or a good idea but a life-changing faith that compels us to act as well as think.

There is going to be sacrifice and hardship involved and some may baulk at that and decide that it’s all too much. We must pray for the faith, strength and boldness to ensure that this is not us, that we follow the path he has given us individually and do it to the best of our ability. After all, it may be what he put us on the earth for!
